My artistic practice centers on exploring form, especially the beauty of form without function. I’m interested in how we can create and appreciate forms purely for their visual and emotional impact, free from practical purposes. This theme guides my work with 3D printing, digital fabrication, and mixed media, as I push the boundaries of sculpture and spatial art.
My installations are immersive experiences, designed to evoke emotion and engagement beyond passive viewing. For a recent Miami music festival, I created a light-pulsing piece with transparent, 3D-printed structures that seemed to breathe and evolve, inviting viewers to feel a connection with the form itself. In past works, I’ve experimented with sonic installations for pollinators, sustainable pavilions, and large-scale paintings to explore how space impacts our senses and perception.
Lately, I’ve been inspired by the Miami techno scene’s powerful, all-encompassing atmosphere. Through poetry and animation, I’m exploring the feeling of surrendering to sound and light—a visceral experience that traditional art forms can’t fully convey.
In my design studio, Calle Studio, I continue this exploration of form and experimental design, aiming to create pieces that reshape our understanding of space and invite people to experience the world with fresh perspectives.
